SOLUTION
One of the world's largest software companies had a requirement to obtain an IBM 2064 CPU. They contacted IBM and received a quote for a new processor. Insight Investments learned of the opportunity and quoted the customer a build up strategy as an alternative. Insight Investments quoted the supply of a smaller IBM 2064 from inventory and ordered an upgrade new from IBM to get to the larger configuration. The net result was our customer obtained the CPU they required and saved $400K through the creativity of Insight Investment sales.
